Permissions
What members may do with projects — creating, renaming and deleting, managing access, setting the export template.
Under Settings → „Berechtigungen“ (Permissions) you decide what members may do with projects. The page has one card: „Was Mitglieder mit Projekten dürfen“ (What members may do with projects).
Owners and admins only. A member gets a 404 page. The page is available on every plan.
The signed-in product speaks German, so its labels and messages are quoted in German throughout, with the English rendering in italics.
The four settings
Each setting has two options: „Alle Mitglieder“ (All members) or „Nur Inhaber und Admins“ (Owners and admins only).

Owners and admins may always do all four, whatever is set here.
After a change you press „Speichern“ (Save); the page reports „Gespeichert.“ (Saved.) The new setting applies from the next action on. What has already happened stays: a project a member created stays in place.
What „Alle Mitglieder“ means
For „Projekte anlegen“: every member of the workspace.
For the other three settings: every member who sees the project. For a restricted project those are only the people and groups with access to it. A project somebody does not see, they can neither rename nor delete, and they can change neither its access nor its export template.
What a member notices
- „+ Neues Projekt“ (+ New project) in the sidebar and „Neues Projekt“ (New project) in the „Alle Projekte“ (All projects) overview appear only when „Projekte anlegen“ is set to „Alle Mitglieder“.
- „Umbenennen“ (Rename) and „Löschen“ (Delete) in the project’s menu appear only when „Projekte umbenennen und löschen“ is set to „Alle Mitglieder“ — on open and restricted projects alike, as long as the member sees them. Nobody can delete the default project.
- „Zugriff“ (Access) in the project’s menu: when „Projektzugriff verwalten“ is set to „Alle Mitglieder“, a member sees who has access to a restricted project and can add and remove people and groups. They cannot restrict the project or open it to everyone. In every other case a member sees only the state in the dialog, and a sentence saying who may change it — on an open project always, however the setting stands.
- „Projektangaben“ (Project details) in the project’s menu: when „Export-Vorlage je Projekt setzen“ is set to „Nur Inhaber und Admins“, a member sees the export naming there read-only. They may still fill in the other details.
Adding people and groups needs the Growth plan or higher; removing works on every plan. That holds for members as it does for owners and admins.
What always stays with owners and admins
None of the four settings reaches these:
- Restricting a project or opening it to everyone.
- Permanently deleting a restricted project. Under „Gelöschte Projekte“ (Deleted projects) a member has no „Endgültig löschen“ (Delete permanently) there. An open project may be permanently deleted by every member who sees it.
- The default project’s export template.
- This page.
A deleted project may be restored by anyone who still sees it under „Gelöschte Projekte“. The settings here do not change that.

When an action is refused
A page a member opened before your change can still show a button they may no longer use. verstag then refuses the action with one of these sentences:

The fourth sentence belongs to „Projektzugriff verwalten“ (Manage project access) and appears when saving in the „Zugriff“ (Access) dialog.
Reloading shows the current state.
In the audit trail
Every save is recorded as „Projektrechte geändert“ (Project permissions changed) in the administration trail. More under The two audit trails.
